He was born in North Brooksville, Jan. 8, 1911, the son of John and Lela (Snow) Howard. Howard was a member of the Orland Masonic Lodge, the Hancock Royal Arch Chapter in Bucksport, St. Johns Commandery in Bangor, and the Pulp and Sulphite Union in Bucksport. He had worked for St. Regis for 34 years. Surviving are his wife, Virginia of Orland; three sisters, Mrs. Phyllis Williamson of Brooksville, Mrs. Laura Ferguson of Centerdale, R. I. and Mrs. Mavis Douglas of Sedgwick; three brothers, Gordon of Lincoln, R. I., Raymond of New Vineyard and Donald of Brooksville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home in Bucksport Thursday at 2 p.m, with the Rev. Roy Pike officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, with masonic committal services." Manley is son of John Patrick Howard (1888-1956) & Lela C. Snow (1888-1942; m. 23 April 1910 in Brooksville, Hancock Co., ME).

He was born in Bucksport on May 20, 1936, to Arthur and Doris (Cunningham) Woodman. He and his wife, Marguerite, had just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. Ronald worked for many years at Orland Consolidated School as head of maintenance. He was a Past Master at Rising Sun Lodge AF & AM in Orland and a former Captain of the Anah Shrine Lobster Boat Unit. Ronald loved his grandchildren and enjoyed the outdoors, his vegetable garden, woodworking, feeding the birds and watching MMA fights with his son Roy. Besides his wife, Ronald is survived by two sons; Dale of Raymond and Roy of Orland; two daughters; Wendy McDonald and husband Mark of Orland and Ruth York and husband John of Orrington, three grandchildren; Lynn Higgins and her husband Sam of Warren, Michael York of Kodiak, Alaska, and Eva York of Orrington, two sisters; Wilma 'Cubby' Olsen of Bucksport and Eleanor Leighton of Blue Hill and one brother; Harry of Bucksport."
