"News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 7 August 1936," p. 4: "Shelby - Henry Gates, 70, of 111 East Main street, died at Memorial hospital at 5:30 a. m. Friday following an illness of more than six months. He had lived in Shelby for about a quarter century. Survivors include a son, Don, of Ganges; a brother, Diamond, Shelby; three sisters. Mrs. Lola Hyde and Mrs Otto Waiser, both of Shelby; and Mrs. Minnie Knisley, Bucyrus. There are also seven grandchildren. Funeral services will bo held at the Barkdull funeral home at 2:30 p. in.. Monday. Burial will be made in Oakland cemetery."

[33603] Stephen's information is from Find A Grave memorial 55193863 which offers: "Stephen Skinner was born in Cumberland County March 1783, and was a son of William Skinner and Martha Duncan. William was born November 15, 1757, and by his wife, Martha, had quite a family. The sons were William, John, Stephen, David, Enoch and Daniel, and the girls were Nancy, Mary and Martha. All reared families, except Enoch and Daniel; John and Stephen settled in Path Valley. Stephen married Nancy Morrow on 18 April 1805 the marriage was preformed by Rev. Amos McGinley. Nancy was born January 7 (?), 1785, a daughter of Richard Morrow. Stephen Skinner died October 30, 1851; his widow in August, 1855. Their children were Ezra, Daniel, William, Thomas, Morrow R., David D., Agnes, Stephen McGinley, Martha, Catherine, Mary, Enoch and James W., all living in the Valley, except Enoch, James and Thomas. - 'History of Franklin Co., Pennsylvania', published by Warner, Beers & Co., Chicago, IL, 1887, p. 756-757."
