He married Elizabeth Hollister and they had six children together. He then married Hannah Lamberton in 1673 in Wethersfield, Connecticut. He died on July 15, 1675, in Wethersfield, Connecticut, at the age of 47, and was buried in Glastonbury, Connecticut. . . . Elizabeth Hollister was born in 1638 in Wethersfield, Connecticut. She married Samuel Welles in 1659 in her hometown. . . . . She died on July 15, 1675, in Wethersfield, Connecticut, at the age of 37." Did Samuel and wife Elizabeth really die on the same day?
