[4202] Dale served in World War II. "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 18 October 1994," p. 6: "Ashland - Dale W. Paullin, 70, of 1446 Ohio 60 died Sunday at Mansfield General Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Paullin was born July 16, 1924, in Ashland to Benjamin and Sylvia Crumlick Paullin and lived there all of his life. He was the owner of Paullin Industries and was an inventor with many patents. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Ashland Elks, Harry Higgins Post VFW, City Club of Ashland and Ashland Chamber of Commerce. Surviving are four sons, Gary Paullin of Pensacola, Fla., Lane Paullin of Ashland, Craig Paullin of Bay Village and Phil Paullin of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren."

He settled in New Haven as a merchant in 1638 with an estate of £200. After the death of Eaton, he accompanied his mother, his brother, David, and half-sister, Hannah Eaton, back to England in 1659. He returned to New Haven and purchased land in that part of the town which is now North Haven. He held many offices of trust with honor, a credit to himself and a satisfaction of his friends and fellow colonists. He left an estate of £479."
