Reiter, 92, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2000, in Woodlawn Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born May 18, 1908, to Fred & Elizabeth (Bitsch) Reiter in Marmarok, Yugoslavia. Mr. Reiter retired from Mansfield Tire & Rubber Co. He was a member of Ridgeway First Church of God, Sons of Herman, Olentangy Beagle Club and Mansfield Tire 25 Year Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Naomi May Helbert Reiter; a son & daughter-in-law, Frederick & Joyce Reiter of Mansfield, OH; a daughter & son-in-law, Elizabeth & Clyde Hunter of Nipomo, CA; four grandchildren and spouses, Frederick & Katie Reiter of Tipp City, OH, F. Scott & Gail Hunter of Gilroy, CA, Victor & Dawn Hunter of San Jose, CA, and Deborah & Paul Lillak of Tracy, CA; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Katherine Doty of CA. Mr. Reiter was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Edward, Jacob, Fred, Philip and Daniel; four sisters, Helen McGinity, Julia Keller, Rose Trumpower and Mary Lamberton. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Aug. 9 from 6-9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home, Aug. 10, at 1 p.m., conducted by Pastor Eddie R. Bare. Burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Park."
