[6943] Waleran m. (1) ca. March 1136 Matilda de Blois, daughter of Stephen de Blois, King of England and Matilda de Boulogne, Comtesse de Boulogne. In September 1118 Walrean remained faithful to King Henry I during the rebellon which broke out. In 1123 he was drawn into a conspiracy with William Clito, son of Robert 'Curthose.' On 26 March 1124 at Bourgtéroude, France, he was captured by the King. In 1129 the King set him free, and gave him back his lands. See G.E. Cokayne; with Vicary Gibbs, H.A. Doubleday, Geoffrey H. [54891] Find A Grave memorial 9511318 offers Muriel's obituary: "Muriel Staples Rich, 63, of Swan's Island and Trenton, died unexpectedly, Sept. 17, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death. She was born Nov. 28, 1940, on Swan's Island, the daughter of Maynard and Ethel (Wheaton) Staples. Muriel graduated from Pemetic High School in 1959 and went on to marry Robert "Chummy" Rich for 38 years. She recently retired from the Maine State Ferry Service. A couple of her favorite things in her shortened life was to watch her grandsons, whom she loved dearly, play their sports, and to play bingo. Muriel was a devoted mom, grandmother and daughter. She is survived by her mother, Ethel Staples of Swan's Island; a brother, Donald Staples and wife, Bonnie, of Swan's Island; a son, Douglas Rich of Ellsworth; an aunt; several uncles; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Muriel was predeceased by her father, Maynard Staples."
