Lincoln Wallace, 74, long one of the most prominent and highly regarded residents and business men died at his home Sunday evening following a shock last Wednesday previous to which had been in good health and active as an undertaker and funeral director. Always interested in local affairs he served 12 years as postmaster, supporting anything for the good of the community. Fraternally he was a Past of Pleiades lodge, F. and A. M., Past Patron of Alcayone chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and Past Chancellor of Avillon lodge, Knights of Pythias. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucretia Wallace; the daughters; and a son - Mrs. Verne K. Brackett of Canton, Mass., Mrs. Chester L. Dorr of Gardner, Mass., Helen Wallace and Jason D. Wallace of Milbridge; the granddaughters, Mrs. Charles Morrison of Worcester, Mass., Mrs. Vincent J. Kirby of Washington, D.C., and Betty Wallace of Milbridge. He also leaves a brother and sister, Mrs. Sarah Kelley of Milbridge and Leonard Wallace of Malden, Mass."
