Henry was ordained minister in 1770 and later as bishop to succeed Christian Burkholder who died in 1809. He was married second to Elizabeth Hoffman, widow of George Hoffman. Their original prenuptial agreement, written in 1816, is preserved at the Muddy Creek Farm Library, 296 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata, PA 17522."
