[21940] Ancestral File gives Alan's parents as Reginald Robert de Dunstanville (b. ca 1054 in Castle Combe, d. ca 1124/1135 in Tewkesbury, Wiltshire) and Adeliza (Alice) L'lisle ( ca 1058 to Humphrey L'lisle). Reginald is son of Hugh (Hugo) de Dunstanville (b. ca 1028 in Castle Combe). See "The Battle Abbey Roll," Catherine Lucy Wilhelmina Powlett Cleveland (London, England: John Murray, 1889), pp. 350-351, which states that Alan's daughter who m. William [sic] Basset is Cecily - this contradicts the line I show!
