[43069] "Elkhart Daily Review, 6 Jan 1908: "Mrs. Henry (Elizabeth) Shetterly died Sunday, aged sixty years, in the home which she had occupied on the east bank of Juno Lake, Mason Township, Cass County, Michigan, for forty years. On July 10, 1866, Elizabeth Mitchell, who was born and reared to young womanhood on her father's farm, two miles east of this city, married Mr. Shetterly and went with him to live on the banks of the beautiful little lake so familiar to hundreds of Elkhartans and there she continued in comparative good health until last Tuesday, when she was stricken with inflamation of the bowels. A fatal termination of her illness was not expected until the last. Many fisherman and pleasure-seekers who have visited Juno Lake have eaten at the hospitable table of the Shetterlys. Mrs. Shetterly is survived by husband: sons, William, George Stephen and Lewis, at or near home. Amos of Adamsville and Charles of Cassopolis; daughters, Mrs. Loren Smith, who resides near the home farm, Mrs. Anthony Stephenson of Cassopolis and Libbie, at home, and brothers Henry Mitchell, a resident of the old homestead east of the city, and William Mitchell, who resides on Middlebury street, this city."
