Andrew Gilpatrick), Lucy (m. Isaiah Haynes), Mary (m. John Rankin), Louisa (m. Dyer Smith), Judson (m. Louisa Young), Mehitabel (1832-1855, bur. Tannery Loop Cem.) and Ann (m. [1] _____ Brann and [2] James Gorman of Amherst, ME) - he lists George as second child. Ansel and Sally spent their last years in the household of their son, George F. Foster. Cf. He married Hannah Pontus on December 18, 1644, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. They had six children in 10 years. He died on January 1, 1662, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, at the age of 42." Find A Grave memorial 41150598 offers: "A Biography of John Churchill, by Laurence Overmire (9G Grandson), Oct. 2018: John was born about 1620, presumably in England. His parentage has not been determined. He emigrated to Plymouth Colony, MA, abt. 1643, and married Hannah Pontus in 1644. A planter, John and Hannah made their home at 'Hob's Hole' in Plymouth. John's father-in-law William Pontus was one of the Leiden Separatists. John's sister-in-law Mary Pontus married Philippe De La Noye (Delano), a French Huguenot and another of the Leiden Separatists, from whom Franklin Delano Roosevelt is descended. Their son Samuel married Elizabeth Standish, the granddaughter of Captain Myles Standish, as well as of John and Priscilla (Mullins) Alden. WARNING: John's parentage is unknown. Samuel and his wife came from Hawkhurst, Co. Kent, England on the Ship Hercules in March, 1635; Samuel married secondly Bridget Bodfish. He settled at Scituate, MA where he was admitted a freeman 7 February 1637, and moved to West Barnstable where he was a juror and town officer. There were other children who died in infancy. See "The Hinckleys of Truro," by Shebnah Rick. Samuel was "gentry" and was a "yeoman" and "Elder" in MA. The Rev'd Fr. Goode (see note for Robert, Samuel's father) wrote: "Samuel and Sarah were married at Hawkhurst. Samuel had bought a farm in Tenterden with money inherited fro his father, the sale of which probably financed the move to America." Sir Thomas died testate at Uffington and was buried at Riveaulx. Grandmother of Sir John de Clifford, son Thomas. Thirdly, wife of Sir Richard be Burley, son and heir to Sir John de Burley of Burley, Herefordshire and Amice de Pembridge. They married without licence before 20 August 1385, the date of the pardon for the marriage. Sir Richard died at Villalpando in Spain in 1387. They had no issue.
