Foster, 75, husband of Charlotte (Nelson) Foster, died Jan. 19, 1993 at a Bangor hospital after a short illness He was born in Orrington July 15, 1917, the son of Bion A. and Katherine M. (Kingsbury) Foster. He was a graduate of Hampden Academy, Class of 1935, and had been a resident of Hampden for the past 68 years. George had worked at the Windsor Hotel in Bangor prior to a 43 year career as a salesman for Eastern Beauty & Barber Supply Co. After his retirement in 1980, he was a partner at Hampden Video and TV in Hampden, having sold the business in 1991. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Charlotte, of Hampden; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bion A. and Becky Foster of Hampden and Randall A. and Nancy Foster of Thomaston; a daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Galen Kingsbury of Winterport; six grandchildren, Andrea and Pamela Foster of Hampden, Adam and Todd Foster of Thomaston, Sara and Gabe Kingsbury of Winterport; one stepgranddaughter, Darci Kingsbury of Bangor; a sister, Bessie Ashley Moore of Orrington; a brother, Harry K. Foster of Hampden. He was predeceased by a brother, Stephen, and a sister, Rosa. George will be sadly missed by his family and many friends."
