He was born here Nov. 28, 1886, the son of Leslie and Mary (Gordon) Gordon. He was the widower of Mrs. Ruby (Mary) Gordon. Surviving are four sons, Maurice of Portland, Alvah of Belfast, Harold of Freeport, and Ralph of Unity; one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Seekins of Freeport; 10 grandchildren; several great-giandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins." George is son of Eslie Gordon (1858-1911) & Mary Ellen Gordon (1858-1920; m. in June, 1880 in Thorndike, Waldo Co., ME).
