Previously to coming to this city for the benefit of his health he had resided in New York city where a son and daughter now live. Some time previous to his death Dr. Grindle had retired from the practice of his profession. The children have been notified and one or both are expect to arrive here next Friday, when the funeral services will be announced. The body is being prepared for shipment by Whitson & co., and after the funeral will be sent to New York to be interred in the family plot in that city. Her father, William, was 6th Earl of Connaught and 3rd Earl of Ulster - she was sole heir to the de Burgh lands and the vast Clare estates. She married Lionel before he was 4; he was recognized in her right as Earl of Ulster; their direct descendant became King of England in 1461 as Edward IV.

Raised in England, she married her cousin, Lionel of Antwerp, the 1st Duke of Clarence, in 1352. In 1355 they had a child, Philippa Plantagenet. The Countess of Ulster died in Dublin in 1363 during her husband's term as Governor of Ireland."
