Born in Lexington August 22, 1894, he spent the greater part of his life in the Mansfield vicinity. Mr. Barr operated the Barr General Store in Mifflin. He was a member of the Lucas Congregational Church and served overseas in WW I. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Lenora Barr, with whom he made his home; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Benson, of the home; a brother Fred Barr of Mansfield and a foster brother, Rev. Robert Barr, Boliver.
