[24468] "The Bloomfield Journal [Bloomfield, Nebrska], 29 September 1911," p. 2: "Lyons, Neb. - Henry Mowrer died yesterday at 3 oclock at his home on the farm about four miles north of town. It had been considered improbable for some time that he would recover and on Monday a consultation of doctors was held, still no hope could be held out. He suffered much and prayed for death to relieve him from his pain. He died form a complication of diseases. Mr. Mowrer is one of the very earliest settlers in the Logan valley and is a well known and highly respected citizen."
