He was Lord of Aalst and hereditary Advocate or Protector of St. Peter of Ghent, 1036-56. An unverified Web site gives his father as Adalbert of Gant (d. 1032), son of Count Arnulph of Holland (d. 993) and Luitgarde of Cleves (d. 1005) and gives Adalbert's wife as Ermengarde of Flanders.

Oscar Nye, Jr. wrote by email in May 2003 about "the recent passing of my aunt, Margarett Jane 'Dodie' Nye Harnish. Aunt Dodie was born October 26, 1922 to Roby Lee Gray and Able Netting Nye and was received into the arms of our Lord May 23, 2003. She was the 6th born and youngest child. She was united in marriage to Zachary Taylor Harnish December 24, 1942. Uncle Zete was born January 28, 1916 and was received into the arms of our Lord May 19, 1972. Aunt Dodie and Uncle Zete were the proud parents of 5 children."

From the Great Soviet Encyclopedia: "Prince Vladimir Sviatoslavich [of Keiv] conquered the principality [of Polotsk] at the end of the 10th century, killing the Polotskian Prince Rogvolod [and marrying Rognald/Rogvolod's daughter, Rogneide]. Vladimir later bequeathed Polotsk to his son Iziaslav."
