Annie was born March 8, 1924, to Foster P. and Eva A. (Wescott) Harrington. Annie attended Winter Harbor schools, cooked at Frenchmans Bay Lodge and Winter Harbor Grammar School before moving to New York City, where she lived for 15 years. There she graduated from Bronx Community College and Albert Einstein School of Bone and Joint Disease, attaining a lifetime goal. She was a member of the former Order of Eastern Star Ruby Chapter No. 31 of Winter Harbor, and of Alcyone Chapter No.71 of Milbridge. Annie loved dancing, chocolate and New York City but not necessarily in that order. She is survived by her children, Rosemary (Johnson) and Ernest West of Gouldsboro, Everett and Penny (Oliverio) Johnson of Ashland, Ky.; grandchildren, Pamela Gerrish, Theresa (Hammond) and Robert Gray of Birch Harbor, Deane and Felicia Johnson of Tupelo, Miss., Arthur Hammond of South Gouldsboro, and Michelle West of Bangor; great-grandchildren, Meghann Brien, Thomas and Robyn Gray, Abbie, Justin and Alycia Hammond; many nieces and nephews; one brother, Walter Harrington; and one sister, Grace Gerrish of Winter Harbor. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Spencer, Frank, Vincent and Arthur; sisters, Bernice and Marguerite."
