[54889] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 12 October 2023: "Bruce A. Morrison, 84, passed away peacefully after a short illness at a local hospital on Aug. 16, 2023. Bruce was born in Bangor on June 4, 1939, the son of Raymond and Eva (Griffin) Morrison. Bruce graduated from Bangor High School and went to work at Kagan-Lown. Bruce married Mary C. Farwell (predeceased) on May 4, 1964, at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bangor and was happily married to Mary for 52 years. Bruce and Mary are the proud parents of two surviving children, Kimberly M. Morrison and R. Scott Morrison. Bruce was a proud, devoted and loving grandfather, or 'Bampa,' of three amazing grandchildren: Kayla Ann Morrison, Brendon Scott Morrison (predeceased) and Trevor Christophe Morrison, and great-grandfather to Greyson Trundy. Bruce enjoyed attending dance recitals, school and sporting events with his grandchildren. Bruce was the second eldest of six children and brother of Hugh Morrison and his wife Eda of Brewer, Elizabeth Osmond, and her husband Ken (both predeceased) of Nova Scotia, David Morrison, Nancy Hodgkins, and her husband James (predeceased), and Roberta 'Bobbie' Deluck and her husband Donald. Bruce was happily married to Mary for 52 years. Bruce enjoyed a long business career with Northern Supply Co. and later as co-owner and president of Kimsco Supply Co. Bruce and Mary enjoyed traveling, especially to the Caribbean and Italy. Bruce possessed great attention to detail in all areas of his life from business to gardening and building models. One of Bruce's most creative and hand-built projects was a vast O-Scale model train layout that included city, country and seascapes. Bruce was a voracious reader, often finishing four books a week. Bruce was an avid gardener and loved to create vegetable gardens, flower beds, ponds and water features throughout his property. Bruce and Marys wishes were to have a combined burial service at Hancock Cemetery, which will occur later in 2024."
