The parentage of Robert de Valognes has not yet been identified. As his two heirs were the son of Henry de Balliol, husband of the daughter of William de Valognes, and (probably) the daughter of Henry´s sister-in-law Christine (see above), it is likely that Robert was closely related, maybe their first cousin.]
7. daughter . The Rotuli de Dominabus of 1185 names "Agnes de Valuines...soror Pagani filii Johannis" and her heir "filia eius et heres data est Durando de Ostili"[191]. It is unclear why this source should specify that Agnes´s heir (implying sole heir?) was her daughter, given the known descendants of her sons as shown above. A file in Ancestry.com in 2012 offers: "Peter de Valognes was a Norman noble claimed by late sources to have accompanied William the Conqueror on the invasion of England, fought at the Battle of Hastings, and became great landowner in England. Between 1070 and 1076 Peter de Valognes was granted lands in the six counties of Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Lincolnshire. In 1086 when the Domesday book was completed, Peter was sheriff of the counties of Essex and Hertfordshire and he farmed the boroughs of Havering and Hertford. Although Peter de Valognes made his caput in Benington in Hertfordshire, his most valuable lands were in Norfolk, the latter being a later grant at the forfeiture of Ralph de Guader after the revolt of the Earls in 1075. Peter de Valognes was the founder of Binham Priory in North Norfolk in 1091[1], which was built on land given to him by William the Conqueror. The land on which the priory stands was, according to the Domesday Book, originally the property of a freeman named Esket. Peter de Valognes married Albreda. They had three children who were Robert de Valognes (born circa 1080), Roger de Valognes (Born circa 1080) and Muriel de Valognes (Born circa 1087)"

[50625] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 1 May 1944," p. 18: "Roy G. Hutchins, 56, of Milbridge, died last night in the Eastern Maine General hospital from a gunshot wound through the body. The shooting took place about 9:30 o'clock Saturday night at the Hutchins home on the Kansas road some three miles outside of Milbridge. Hutchins was brought in to the Eastern Maine General hospital about 4:30 o'clock yesterday morning and despite emergency treatment including plasma transfusions and an operation died at about 1:40 yesterday afternoon. State police under the direction of Capt. Laurence C. Upton, acting chief of the State police whose home is in Milbridge and Capt Sidney Frost of Troop E of Bangor, Sheriff Ray S. Foster of Washington county, and County Attorney Oscar L. Whalen of Eastport conducted an immediate investigation. Sheriff Foster said last night that the only facts so far ascertained was from the story of Hutchins' wife who declared he had been cleaning his 30-30 rifle and that the gun went off and the bullet passed through his body. County Attorney Whalen said that Medical Examiner Oscar Larson of Machias would make an autopsy sometime last night and that following his report 'we will know where we stand'. Hutchins at the hospital is said to have told two conflicting stories - one that the shooting was an accident and the other that someone else held the rifle."

[51597] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 29 June 2016": "East Blue Hill - Dwight Sherwood Webber, 73, passed away on June 23, 2016, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital due to several progressive health conditions. He was born in Blue Hill, August 29, 1942, the son of Kermit and Beulah (Eaton) Webber. He was a 1960 graduate of George Stevens Academy. His love of sports inspired him to later coach GSA girls basketball and cross country. He also served on the GSA Board of Trustees. Among his employers were Webber Cove Boatyard, L.S. Thorsen Corp. and Stinson Canning Company. He also became self-employed - Dwight S. Webber, Painting Contractor and caretaking at summer homes. Dwight served many years as Director/Officer at Blue Hill Fair and Eastern States Exposition (The Big E), and as a Director of the Maine Agricultural Fair Association, and member of the South Blue Hill Baptist Church. He was enabled to turn each new challenge during his illness into faith for a better day tomorrow. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eileen (Leach) Webber; son, Dwayne; daughter-in-law, Cindy; grandchildren, Michelle and Matthew Webber; son, Dale; daughter-in-law, Amy; grandchildren, Acadia, Molly and McIntosh Webber; sisters, Sharon Brown and Margo Webber; sister-in-law, Mabel Bowden; one niece and six nephews."
