"The Perry County Democrat [Bloomfield, Pennsylvania], 1 Jan 1941," p. 3: "The many friends of William G. Gutshall, of Blain, were shocked and saddened to learn of his death last Thursday. He was sitting in the store of his father-in-law, James C. Rickard, Esq., a few days previous, when he was seized with a paralytic stroke, from which he never regained consciousness. He had suffered a light stroke last spring, but had recovered from that attack. He was aged 64 years. William G. Gutshall was a son of George W. and Celeste Bennett Gutshall, deceased, and was born in Jackson township. In early life he engaged in farming but later took up his residence in Blain, where he conducted a grain and coal business. He was a member of the Blain Lutheran Church and in political faith was a staunch Democrat. For a number of years he served as a school director. Surviving him are his wife, the former Miss May Rickard, one son, James Gutshall of Shenandoah, Iowa; one grandchild, and one sister, Mrs. Margaret J. Dromgold, and brother, Harry W. Gutshall, both of Blain. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Glenn W. Foulke, and burial was in the Gutshall plot in the union cemetery, Blain."

[7099] "The Akron Beacon Journal [Akron, Ohio], 11 April 1938," p. 19: "WHITE, Martha Helen, age 83 years, passed away at her home, Sawyerwood, O., Saturday p. m. She leaves four sons, Harvey W., Ammon L., Martin L. and Lester D.; one daughter, Hattie L. White: 30 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren, one brother, John Sergent; two sisters. Mrs. Alice Mitchell and Mrs. Ida Chamberlain. Services 2 p. m. Tuesday at the residence and 3:15 p. m. at Evangelical church, Sawyerwood, Rev. Mr. Ettllng officiating. Burial Lakewood."
[21321] Eva's ancestry and genealogy are in web site (2003): http://edoubleu7.tripod.com/cgi-bin/genealogy/zagmeister.html which reports her father is Johann Adam Zangmeister (b. 1699). http://www.macungie.org/singmaster.html offers in 2009: "The immigrant ancestors of the Singmaster families in North America were Johann Adam Zangmeister, and his son, Georg Friederich Zangmeister (1725-1811), who emigrated from the German Palatinate, and arrived in Philadelphia on September 19, 1749 on the ship Patience. They settled near Trumbauersville in Bucks County. Georg Friederichs son, John Adam Singmaster (1766-1820), moved to Millerstown; and in 1794, married Lydia van Buskirk (1779-1865), the daughter of the Rev. Jacob van Buskirk (1739-1800), reputedly the first ordained Lutheran minister born and trained in America. Jacob van Buskirk purchased a tract of land from Peter Miller on November 19, 1784; and around 1785, established a tannery in Millerstown while serving as pastor of Lehigh Church (1770-1800). John Adam bought the tannery, and his father-in-laws farm of about 105 acres, around 1810. John Adam Singmaster is buried at Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church near Alburtis; but Lydia Singmaster, who lived until 1865, is buried in Solomons Union Church Cemetery in Macungie. Her grave is surrounded by an iron fence near the Cherry Street cemetery entrance behind the church." Anna Margaretha Kappel. b: 1673 in Kandel, Pfalz, Bayern, Bavaria [src: Genealogie der Familie Zangemeister], m: 2 Feb 1693 in Kandel, Germany [src: Genealogie der Familie Zangemeister] d: 29 Oct 1730 in Kandel, Germany [src: Genealogie der Familie Zangemeister]."
