She died on November 15, 1974, in Waterville, Kansas, at the age of 94, and was buried there." "Marshall County News [Marysville, Kansas], 13 August 1956, p. 8: "Funeral services for Rollie D. Bartlow, long time Marshall county resident, were held last Monday in the Waterville Methodist church with the Rev. J. W. Stallions officiating. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery. The son of Marion and Nancy Bartlow, he was born February 6, 1872, in Marshall County, and died August 2, 1956. On April 19, 1899, he was united in marriage with Alma Anderson of Waterville, and they became the parents of four children. He was a rural mail carrier for 30 years, and since retirement had lived in Waterville. He was a member of the Christian church and after it became inactive transfered his membership to the Methodist Church where he taught a Sunday School class as long as he was able. He was also a member of the IOOF lodge and held every office. He was also a member of the Modern Woodmen and Rebekah lodges. ! Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rice of Beaumont, Calif.; and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Henderson of Pasadena, Calif.; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Coombs Funeral Home, Belfast, Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Theodore Smith of the First Baptist Church of Belfast officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at North Carmel Cemetery, Carmel."

Will was originally a plasterer by trade, but became a mail carrier of Delta, Ohio, retiring in 1907 because of ill health. His daughter states that she remembered the Doctor 'bleeding' him and throwing the blood away. He was much overweight and today would probably have been diagnosed as a diabetic. Diabetes was in the maternal side of his family and was inherited by his daughter. The farm was sold when Mary, the daughter, was about 9 years old and they moved to Eaton Co., Michigan. Civil War veteran - was 14 years old at the time of enlistment, but said he was 18." Find A Grave Memorial 7766467 reports "William enlisted in Company B, 49th Ohio Infantry, as a Private on 22 February 1864 and mustered out on June 17, 1864." William and Mary had seven children.

(2) 13 Jan 1759 in Wells, ME Adah Hatch and had at Wells, ME Joanna (12 Feb 1760), Sarah (16 July 1761), Hannah (16 July 1761), Benjamin (22 Aug 1762), Joseph and Adah. Laurie Kearney posted in 2006 in http://genforum.genealogy.com: "Thomas Penny was baptized October 27, 1710 in the Wells Church. It is said that he lived to be 99 years old, putting his deathdate in 1809. He was the son of Thomas and Joanna (Littlefield) Penny. He married (#1) Abigail Grey April 17, 1731. She was the daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth (Thompson) Grey. Together they had 9 children, although family histories report they had 10 children, but they had: John, Joanna, Daniel, Abraham, (All bapt. April 1732), Nehemiah (1743), Eli (1746) Abigail (1754), Ebenezer (1755) and Peletiah (1758. (Note these are bapt. dates). Thomas married (#2) Adah Hatch January 13, 1759. She was the widow of Giedon Spears, and the daughter of John and Mary (Low) Hatch. Together they had 4 children, although family histories report it was nine children. [50330] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 7 April 2022": "Deer Isle - Archie Winters Pickering Jr., 89, died April 7, 2022, in Hudson, Fla. A lifelong resident of Deer Isle and Stonington, Archie was born on July 13, 1932, the son of Eva (Gray) Pickering and Archie Pickering Sr. He had been battling health issues for a few years. Despite this he never lost his sense of humor or his desire to enjoy family time. His family was at his side when he passed. Archie tended to do things on his terms including his time and place of birth. While his parents were traveling by ship to Nova Scotia, Archie thought Shelburne would be a nice place to make his entrance. His early years were spent in the Mountainville section of Deer Isle, though his family moved frequently due to Archie Sr.s work. Archie found himself a freshman at Deering High School in Portland but graduated from McKinley High School in Deer Isle, the Class of 1950. The following years provided many changes of direction. Sternman on his friend Ken Moreys lobster boat, drafted into the U.S. Army, married to his sweetheart Anita Cousins, stationed in Kansas and then Japan, becoming a father to his first born, Charles, and eventually returning to Maine. He worked many jobs including a mechanic at his father-in-laws garage, engineer on Perry Dureyas lobster smack and driving for the Merrill Transport Co. in Bangor. His love for the ocean was too strong to deny and he started his life as a Stonington lobster fisherman in 1960, first as sternman with Royal Robbins and then on his own. He and Anita made a home atop Russs Hill overlooking Stonington Harbor. They welcomed two more sons, Stephen and David. The Stonington Lobster Co-op was the base of operations for the area fishermen and on many mornings while waiting for the fog to lift the fishermen would take this time to discuss problems or disputes among them. Archie sat back and listened. When the discussions were done, they would look to him and ask what he thought. Usually his thoughts resolved whatever problem was being discussed. Out of this his peers bestowed upon him the nickname The Judge. This title stayed with him for decades and was his unofficial boat radio call name as well. In the fall of 1969, he moved his family to their new home in North Deer Isle. He and Anita lived out the rest of their years there. Along with hauling lobster traps by day he would drive a truck for the Stonington Lobster Co-op by night. He couldnt shake the urge to drive the big trucks over the road and this opportunity satisfied that need. On Oct. 19, 1993, that all came to an end on a dark, rainy night on I-95 in Greenwich, Conn. Archie was involved in a multi-vehicle crash that left him pinned in the wreckage for over five hours. Instead of focusing their resources on getting Archie to the hospital, some of the Greenwich Fire Department first responders chose to cut the lock from the undamaged body and take 3,500 pounds of lobsters to enjoy at their leisure. This selfish criminal act resulted in a black mark on the city of Greenwich and made Archies plight a nationwide story. He lost one leg and the other was permanently damaged. His recovery took over a year. He was told he would not do the things he used to do, including working on his lobster boat. So, he took up golf. Six years later he had enough of watching his friends catch all the lobsters and bought another boat and gear. He fished for 10 more years before officially retiring."
