[49040] Joyce's obituary: "Joyce A. Bleecher Platt, 70, of Mountville, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010, surrounded with love from her family. She was the wife of the late Chester W. Platt who passed away in January of 1997. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Harry E. D. and Elizabeth G. Longer Bleecher. She was a food service worker for Service America Corporation and a hostess for the Symposium Restaurant for the past eight years. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster and was a foster mother for many years. She loved dogs, gardening, traveling and cars. She was an avid reader, especially books by Stephen King and Ann Rule. She is survived by three brothers: Edward F. Bleecher, Corning, IA; Barry L. (Cheryl) Bleecher, Quarryville and H. Dale (Ila) Bleecher, Willow Street. Two sisters: Frances B. Stively, Millersville and Lorna Jean (Malcolm) Rash, Salisbury, NC. Sister-in-law: Janice Bleecher, Lancaster. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother: H. Glenn Bleecher."
