Find A Grave memorial 102805368 offers: "Humphrey Stafford, Esquire, of Grafton, Bromsgrove, Kenswick, Blatherwick, Milton Keynes, Pytchley, and in right of his wife, of Cattered and Rushden, Herefordshire, and of Sudbury, Bedforshire. Knight of the Shire for Worcestershire and Warwickshire. 2nd but eldest surviving son of Sir Humphrey Stafford (1400-1450) and Eleanor Aylesbury. Grandson of Sir Humphrey Stafford and Elizabeth Burdet, Sir Thomas Aylesbury and Katherine Pabenham. Husband of Katherine Fray, daughter and heiress of Sir John Fray and Agnes Danvers, daughter of Sir John. They had two sons and two daughters: Sir Humphrey 1461-1545; Sir William; Anne m Richard de Neville; Margaret m John Archer. Katherine died 12 May 1482. Humphrey, being the Sheriff in 1483, held the fords of Severn against a distant kinsman, another Humphrey Stafford, the Duke of Buckingham, bringing about the Duke's defeat and death. Humphrey was a supporter of King Richard III who died at Bosworth, his execution ordered by Henry, carried out at Tyburn Gallows, London, 08 July 1486."
