Kent, and is son of Richard Willard, "a yeoman of Brenchley, England where he died leaving a will dated September 18, 1658, proved October 24, 1658." The unverified OneWorldTree in Ancestry.com in 2011 proposes that Richard is son of Simon Willard (b. 1530 in Horsmonden, Co. Kent, d. 26 Feb 1584 in Goudhurst, Co.
