[3041] The Rev. Hugo Schroeder (see under Mary's husband) believes her marriage date to be uncertain. Schroeder believes Peter may have m. (1) Ottila (shown with him in a 1738 Lancaster baptismal record), who may be mother of Mary Brillhart in 1743. Fran Allison states Mary d. in 1804. "A Genealogy and History of the Kauffman-Coffman Families," Charles Fahs Kauffman (York, PA: by author, n.d.), p. 690 states that Mary Meyer, daughter of John (who d. 1757), was wife of Peter Brillhart. "Mennonite Family History - Vol. 19, No. 1, January 2000", p. 15: "Mary Meyer, m. by 1756 Peter Brillhart, d. 1804. ...A Daughter of Peter and Mary Brillhart married Martin Feigley of Codorus. Their home was a regular meeting place for the congregation before a church was built. John Brillhart, one of the sons, moved to Rockingham County, Virginia, in 1797/98."
