"The Akron Beacon Journal, 16 February 1971," p. 30: "Grant Bennett, 74, of 81 First av., died Monday at Akron City Hospital after a long illness. Born in Circleville, W. Va., he moved to Mogadore 32 years ago from Akron. He retired in 1957 after 29 years at Goodyear. Mr. Bennett was a member of the Mogadore Christian Church and a veteran of World War I. He leaves wife, Bessie; three daughters, Mrs. Tom Brooks, Mrs. Harold Briner, and Mrs. Eli Drakulich, all of Mogadore; seven sons, Gerald, Calvin and Eugene, all of Akron, Alvin, Mogadore, Jerome, Uniontown, Jack, Cuyahoga Falls, and Grant Jr., Manchester; 34 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hopkins Mogadore Chapel. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery, Akron."
