Wade, 78, a native of Stephenson county, passed away at a local hospital yesterday afternoon, where he had been a patient for the past three weeks. Funeral services will be held at the Eichmeier & Becker funeral home, West Stephenson street, at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. J. M. Beck, Davis, will conduct the services and interment will be made in Dakota cemetery. Mr. Wade was born Nov. 11, 1864, in Lancaster township, the son of Daniel and Anna Wade. He was united in marriage to Mary Ritzman, Dec. 10, 1891. The wife died July 23, 1936. A daughter passed away Nov. 16, 1901. He was engaged in farming In Lancaster township for many years. Surviving are two sisters, Miss Sarah E. Wade, Freeport; Mrs. Carrie Meyers, Scioto Mills; and a brother, Esrom Wade, Sterling, Ill. He was a member of Embury Methodist church."
