A native of Guatemala City, she had lived in Santa Cruz since 1980. She attended UC Berkeley and graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a bachelors degree and a teaching credential. Gleason was a longtime member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed literature and music, and was a talented cook who enjoyed sushi. Mrs. Gleason is survived by her children, Enrique Treet Gleason of San Jose, Gwendolyn Victoria Gleason of Scottsdale, Ariz., Frederick Trent Gleason of Redmond, Wash. and Patrick Theodore Gleason of Felton; a granddaughter; and numerous family members in Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras. Her husband, U.S. Air Force Col. Fred T. Gleason, died in 1998."
