He was born in Weston, Maine, February 12, 1933, son of the late Alvah and Ethel Irish. He grew up in Weston. Paul enlisted in the service, where he continued his education. He acquired electronics training and specialized in this field. He also furthered his education by completing college courses. Paul served in the U.S. military and was a veteran. He was a member of the American Legion. Paul worked in Connecticut. Paul retired in Maine, to be near his family. He enjoyed sports, gardening, fishing, boating and wood-working activities. Paul attended church throughout his life. He enjoyed singing, 'Jesus loves me.' He also enjoyed singing many other hymns. Paul appreciated the many prayers and visits and cards that he received from his friends and family. Paul's faith remained strong throughout his lifetime. Paul was a blessing to those who knew him, and he was willing to help anyone. Paul's wife Erika, and his children would like to express how grateful they are that he was a wonderful person. Paul is survived by his wife, Erika Irish of Bangor, Maine; and four children, Christine Stinson, Richard Irish, Cindy Griggs and Cathy Irish. Paul was blessed with having many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two sisters; Mary Ellen (Irish) Lee and Patricia (Irish) Mosher and her husband, Russell Mosher. Paul was predeceased by his parents; Alvah Irish and Ethel Irish; two brothers, Leslie Irish and Bradley Irish; and four sisters, Natalie Robertson, Jean Kelley, Marilyn Russell and Phyllis Farnham."
