[44881] "Journal and Courier [Lafayette, Indiana], 7 May 2010," p. 19: "Raymond Curtis Wilcoxen, 81, of Terre Haute, a former area resident, died at 5:51 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Born July 3, 1928, in Danville, 111., he was the son of the late Russell Wilcoxen and Marie Long Wilcoxen. Mr. Wilcoxen worked for Amoco Oil Co. for 22 years, first as a driver, then retired as assistant terminal manager. Earlier in his life, he was a farmer in Vermillion County. He attended Oregon Baptist Church. He enjoyed Purdue sports, especially basketball, the Indianapolis Colts, NASCAR and RFD-TV. Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Lanham Wilcoxen; a son, Ray Curtis Wilcoxen (wife: Sherilyn K.); two daughters, Velsteana 'Tina' McCann (husband: Tom) and Gladys Moore; and two brothers, Ralph Wilcoxen and Richard Wilcoxen. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 28 greatgrandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Farner; and a son, James C. Wilcoxen. Most of all his love was his wife, children and grandchildren."
