[42952] Find A Grave Memorial 117190860 offers: In the north ambulatory of Westminster Abbey are the graves of John Berkeley, Lord Fitzharding and his wife Barbara. He was the younger son of Sir Charles Berkeley, 2nd Viscount Fitzharding in the peerage of Ireland and his wife Penelope, daughter of Sir William Godolphin. John succeeded his brother Maurice as 4th Viscount in 1690 but had no male heir and his title became extinct. The inscriptions read: "Here lyeth the body of John Lord Viscount Fitzharding of Bearehaven and Baron Berkeley of Rathdowne in the Kingdom of Ireland. He was one of the four tellers of the Exchequer and Treasurer of ye chamber to Her Majestie Queen Anne and Custos Rotulorum of Somersetshire who departed this life the 19th day of December 1712 in the 63rd year of his age" His coat of arms appear at the head of the stone. "Here lyeth the body of Barbarah Villiers, Viscountess Fitzharding, Governess to His late Royall Highness the Duke of Glocester, daughter to the Hon. Sr.Edward and the Hon. Lady Frances Villiers and who died September 19th 1708 in her 52nd year".
