[46787] Hannah and John had Nellie Irene Kunkle Fisher (1877-1950), LeRoy Kunkle (1881-1952), Fred Bolender Kunkle (1885-1960) & Spencer George Kunkle (1888-1978). "Freeport Journal-Standard [Freeport, Illinois], 12 January 1945," p. 12: "Mrs. Hannah Kunkle, 92, passed away yesterday at the home of he daughter, Mrs. Nellie Fisher, in McConnell, with whom she had made her home for the past three years. Had she lived until Feb. 28 she would have been 93 years old. Funeral services will be held at the Fisher home at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon with services at McDonnell United Brethren church of which she was a member. Rev J. O. Neal and Rev, Henry Wallace will conduct the services and interment will be made in Bellview cemetery. Hannah C. Bolender was born in Buckeye township, Feb. 28, 1852, the daughter of Frederick and Hanna (Ritzman) Bolender. She was united in marriage to John H. Kunkle May 27, 1876. The husband passed away April, 1921. A daughter and three sons survive, Mrs. Nellie Fisher McConnell, Roy, Milwaukee; Fred, and Spencer, Freeport. There are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Three sisters and a brother preceded her in death."

She married John M. Jones in 1919 in Pasadena, TX. They rised a family of four children together; Curtis Hershel, Evelyn Ollin, Edna Mae, and Johnnie Ruth. They moved to Ballinger, TX in 1932. Jewel was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Seventh Street Baptist Church. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Seventh Street Baptist Church with burial in Garden of Memories. Arrangements are by Rains-Seale Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny in 1968; her parents, two sisters, five brothers and one great granddaughter. She is survived by one son, Curtis Jones of Ballinger; three daughters, Evelyn Drake and Johnnie Bramley, both of Ballinger and Edna Hunter of Mohave Valley, AZ; and a sister, Lenora Frush; three sisters-in-laws, Louise Jones of Ft. Worth, Syble Hitt of Abilene and Eva Hitt of Portland, OR; 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 26 great great grandchildren. "
