The name of his wife is not given; but he was evidently of yeoman stock, and a tenant of the Manor of Sharpenhoe...." See http://www.nortonfamily.net. [16300] Elizabeth m. March 15, 1764 at Woodbury, CT Jonathan Griswold.
[5328] Lillian is daughter of Dr. Austin Theodore Woods (b. 1856, d. 1935, son of John B. Woods [b. 17 Dec 1823, d. 1896, buried at Uniontown, OH - son of Samuel Woods, 1797-1842 and wife Sophie Boal, 1799-1829, both bur. at Uniontown, OH] and wife Ella Olivia Harris [1862-1928, dau. of Daniel Harris, 1822-1887, and wife Elizabeth Santee, 1827-1918, bur. at Loyal Oak, OH - Ella made three trips by covered wagon to Ohio from Bethlehem, PA]). Vivian Myers Harig wrote via email 2 Aug 2004: "Barb found some very old papers from the 1850's. She found a paper that documents that John Harris came from Nazareth, PA. He died in 1857. His son, Daniel Harrier, moved to the Loyal Oak area near us. His daughter, Ella Harrier, married Dr. Austin T. Woods. He was a country medical doctor in Loyal Oak. They had one child that lived. She was Blanche Woods Shriber (married to B. A. Shriber). That is Jack's grandmother. Barb is doing well in organizing the paperwork into archive sleeves to save. Nazareth. PA is close to Allentown and Bethlehem, PA near the Delaware River and N. J. We heard the stories that Ella Harrier came to Ohio in a covered wagon several times. She brought her sister's babies(they had been orphaned) in the cradle that I have stored in the cottage. My children used that cradle too. Jack has her pistol with several notches on it. She had to be a tough gal."
