She was born Aug 9, 1920 in Stockton Springs, the daughter of Maurice and Helen (Davis) Barrett. Mrs. Grant owned and operated Grant's Seafood for more than 50 years and was a 50-year member of the Rebekahs, She loved to go to the racetrack and watch harness horse racing and was an avid sportsman. She never missed one of her children's or grandchildren's ball games. She was predeceased by her husband M. Levi Grant in 1987; and a great-granddaughter, Sabrina Harrison. Mrs. Grant is survived by a daughter, Josephine and James Scherer of Prospect; four sons, Frederick and Nancy Grant, John and Shirley Grant, William and Sally Grant, all of Stockton Springs and Joseph and Regienna Grant of Searsport; two sisters-in-law; Evelyn Grant of Belfast, Agnes Grant of Bath; 20 grandchildren. 19 great-grandchildren. several cousins. many nieces and nephews."
