[17352] Joseph and Hannah had Sara Ann (b. 8 Oct 1812, d. 11 Jan 1842, buried in Blue Hill, ME) who never married but had a son, Joseph A. Grindle (b. 4 Dec 1834/5); Joseph shows in Verona, ME in the 1860 census as a sea captain and in 1850 in Penobscot in the household of Luxford Stover (b. ca. 1787, farmer). In 1860 Joseph was in the household of Samuel Door and Irene S. - Mary A. Grindle, b. ca. 1826, was also residing there and was probably his wife.

Porter, buried with him, and m. (2) April 30, 1912 Margaret Shearer (d. March, 1923) and m. (3) Feb. 26, 1927 Emma F. Yarlets Nickey. He was a prominent farmer in Lower Frankford Twp. and was survived by a daughter, Florence M. Hollenbaugh of Harrisburg, PA. His wife Nina d. at their home on East North St., Carlisle, survived by an infant daughter, Stella Lulu.
