IL) and Elizabeth (1, b. IL); also listed with this family is Charley Horner, 12, b. OH, "works on farm." There is a Samuel Brillhart family in this township in 1870: he is age 30, p. PA, Angeline (25, b. PA), and three young children (b. IL). June 1 - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Swarner, wife of George Swarner, who died May 29 in Salina, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Hartford Methodist church. Rev. G. H. Pittman, pastor, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Hartford cemetery. Mary Elizabeth Clawson was born October 27, 1873 In Ottumwa and lived her life in or near Hartford. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Asa Clawson. She married George Swarner, November 11, 1892 in Emporia. Mrs. Swarner was a member of the Presbyterian church. She had been in failing health for three years. She is survived by her husband of the home, one daughter, Miss Ruth Swarner, of Salina; four sons, Frank Swarner, Madison, Wis.; Ward Swamer, Portland, Ore.; Clarence Swarner, Wendell, Idaho; Fred Swarner, Boise, Idaho; three sisters, Miss Bertha Clawson and Mrs. James Pierson, Newcastle, Ind.; Mrs. Ellen Moody, Munice, Ind.; two brothers, Frank Clawson, Long Beach.
