http://www.renderplus.com/hartgen/htm/littlefield.htm offers: "Francis Littlefield - was born on 17 Jun 1619 in Tichfield, Hampshire, England and died in 1712 in prob. Dover, NH . He was the son of Edmund Littlefield and Annis (Agnes) Austin. Francis married Jane Hill about 1646 in Woburn, Mass. She is the daughter of Ralph Hill and Elizabeth Parker. Then Francis married Rebecca Rust on 27 Apr 1648 in Wells, ME. Then Francis married Mary Wade before 1689 in Wells, ME. Francis, the oldest son , has a percular history. At about the age of 7 or 8 he disappeared from his father's house. That he was born about 1619 is supported by the fact that that he was required to sign the submission to Massachusetts in 1653. This Francis did not come over with his mother on the Belvis. (Source: History of Wells and Kennebunk pg 73-74) (From Noyes, Libby & Davis; Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire; p.438): The oft-told story of his separation from his family was the imagining of some one trying to account for two brothers of the same name, and not unlikely he accompanied his father here, but moved around before settling in Wells, where (he was) granted 50 acres by orges in 1643.
http://www.one-barton-family.us/genealogy/viva reports Francis "resided in 1648 in Dover, Strafford Co., New Hampshire. He took the oath of fidelity to Massachusetts on 5 Jul 1653 in Wells, York Co., Maine. He died in Nov 1712 in Wells, York Co., Maine. He died before 15 Jan 1713 in Wells, York Co., Maine. He was a farmer/miller/innkeeper." http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~silversmiths/7/11631.htm states "Francis Littlefield was born on 17 Jun 1619 in Titchfield, Hampshire, England, christened on 17 Jun 1619 in Titchfield, Hampshire, England, died on 15 Jan 1712 in Well,s York, ME and was buried in 1712 in Wells, York, ME)" and gives his children with Rebecca Rust.
http://www.aritek.com/hartgen/htm/littlefield.htm offers: "Francis , the oldest son , has a percular history. At about the age of 7 or 8 he disappeared from his father's house.
