[8608] Abraham is son of Samuel Reppert (b. ca. 1783-86 in PA) and Mary Ann Stoner [Steiner]. Samuel and Mary Ann had David, Abraham, two unknown sons and John George [youngest known son, who left the family home in Franklin Twp., Richland Co., OH and moved "west".] Samuel is said to have had fourteen children. The 1870 census at Scott, Steuben Twp., IN shows Abraham and wife with Samuel who is age 80 and was b. in PA. The 1880 census at Scott shows Abraham's son, Daniel, still in Abraham's household but with his wife Laura (age 27); son Abraham is also in this household, a carpenter who is marked "widowed." Ancestry.com offers: "Reppert Name Meaning - German: from a Germanic personal name, Ratbert, composed of the elements rad, rat 'counsel', 'advice' + berht 'bright'."
