[47292] Find A Grave memorial 54019858 offers Vivian's obituary: "Penobscot - Vivian Blair Farnham, 80, of Penobscot Nursing Home, and formerly of Augusta, died Monday, June 21, 2010, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, Blue Hill. She was born in Augusta on Jan. 29, 1930, the daughter of Hugh and Theo (Mooers) Blair. Vivian graduated from Cony High School in the class of 1948. She was employed by the state of Maine in the Department of Motor Vehicle from the 1950s until 1972. In 1972, Vivian moved to Penobscot where she and her husband, Alton Farnham, operated Farnham's Equipment Company for many years. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Alton S. Farnham, and a son, Anthony 'Tony' McGlauflin. She is survived by a son, David McGlauflin, of Irmo, S.C. and four grandchildren, Gwendalyn B. Benoit of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Maricel T., Anthony C., and Christian D. McGlauflin, all of Irmo."

After her graduation from North High School, she married Lee R. Sollenbarger, remaining in the Denver area until their two children were grown. She was active in Berkeley Presbyterian Church in Denver and later in Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church in California, where she and Lee lived for 30 years before moving to Grand Junction in 1991. Poetry, children's stories, flower arrangements and other forms of creativity were the expressions of an artistic nature that enriched the lives of those around her. Known as a kind and caring friend and an intelligent, loving, and fun mother and grandmother she will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate to have had her radiant smile and generous personality bless their lives. She is survived by Lee, her loving husband of 73 years; her son, Roger and his wife, Sharon of Grand Junction; and daughter, Judy and her husband, Lynn Hancock of Snowmass; her grandchildren, Ann Mabrito, Lee Sollenbarger, Christopher and Brad Hancock; and seven great grandchildren."
