A retired employee of International Harvester, he was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Adams Lodge 319 F&AM, New Bloomfield Lions Club and Fire Company, and the National Rifle Association. Mr. Boggs is survived by his wife, Edna Boggs; three sons, Wayne L. of Stevens, Ronald B. of RD 2 New Bloomfield and Donald C. of Carlisle; and six grandchildren. The Rev. Alan K. Foor will officiate at Thursday's services. Interment will be in New Bloomfield Cemetery."

He died in 1890 in Parma, Michigan, at the age of 58, and was buried in Sandstone, Michigan."
