Navy during World War II in the Pacific-Asiatic theatre aboard the U.S.S. Barnwell APA132. He worked as a machinist at Fay-Scott Landis for 40 years, retiring in 1980. Russ was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He also enjoyed golfing for 30 years. Russell worked tirelessly as a volunteer for the Knights of Columbus, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Dexter Nursing Home. He especially loved all the men and women who played Bingo. He leaves behind a son, Robert (Margo); 2 daughters, Patricia (Ronald) Farrar and Sharon (Paul) Cote; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews."
