Her obituary states she was 85 years and seven months old and was a member of the Astoria Congregation (probably the Astoria Church of the Brethren in Fulton Co., IL). A Barbary Horner, 81, b. PA, is reported by the 1870 census of Woodland Twp. Fulton Co., IL living in the George Clark household with her daughter. This household: George, 28 (farmer, b. OH), Edith (24, b. OH), Sarah (2, b. IL) and Elizabeth (1, b. IL); also listed with this family is Charley Horner, 12, b. OH, "works on farm." There is a Samuel Brillhart family in this township in 1870: he is age 30, p. PA, Angeline (25, b. PA), and three young children (b. IL). Note: The NSSAR registrar's offce advised by email 20 Feb 2009: Beverly Hicklin writes: "Mr. Myers, the SAR membership application # 145210 of patriot Christian Brillhart lists children in the backup documentation; a child Barbara is not in this listing."
