She remained in the valley all her life, living in Wiconisco, Lykens and Elizabethville. She had been employed by the former Lebro Shirt Co., Lykens for many years. She was a member of St. Peter's UCC, Lykens. Leah was devoted to her family and friends and adored her grandson, Justin. She was an accomplished seamstress , excellent cook and gardener, enjoying the beautiful flowers God always granted her for her tender, loving garden. She will be sadly missed forever by her family and friends and all who knew her. She was the widow of Earl M. Geist. Survivors include her son, Gary Geist, daughter-in-law, Barbara Geist and her only grandson, Justin Geist along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Harvey Romberger and sister, Lillian Hoffman."

Thebes Construction Co., a member of New Bloomfield Fire Company, and New Bloomfield Sportsman's Club. Surviving are four sons, Kenneth H. Thebes, Frederick D. Thebes, Keith G. Thebes and Francis E. Thebes, all of New Bloomfield; his father, G.W. Thebes, Blain; two brothers, Henry Thebes, Marysville and Darwin K. Thebes, New Bloomfield; four sisters, Mrs. William Shutt, Harrisburg, Mrs. Galen Weibley, York, Geraldine Johnson, Elliotsburg, and Beatrice Reisinger, Altoona; and nine grandchildren. . . . Burial will be in New Bloomfield Cemetery.
