She was born in Clifton May 17, 1913, the daughter of Levi Jellison and Vesta (Hanscomb) Bragg. She was a member of the Amherst - Aurora Congregational Church and was superintendent of its Sunday School for several years. Mrs. Hanscom and late husband managed the city home in Brewer for several years and were foster parents to several of the children in the home. She was a member of the Goodwill Grange in Amherst and the Green Mountain Pomona Grange. Surviving are three sons, A. Raymond of Trenton, S. Dale of Bar Harbor and Walter V.
