After marriage, she worked as a preschool teacher at the Homestead Air Force Base in Florida where her husband was based. In her free time, she enjoyed communicating with family and friends, crocheting and reading. Her favorite things were camping with family, enjoying her many cats and being a preschool teacher. She will be most remembered for her bright blue eyes, her laugh and great humor. (Shaffer) Hepler, 83 of Timblin (Mayport RD 2) Ringgold Township, Jefferson County, died at 5 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 7, 1965) in Adrian Hospital at Punxsutawney where she had been a patient for the past four weeks. She was born Feb. 26, 1882 in Redbank Township, Armstrong County, the daughter of Lewis and Caroline (Miller) Shaffer. Mrs. Hepler lived her entire life in the Timblin area where she was a member of the Timblin Nazarene Church. She was married by Justice of the Peace W. W. Corbett on April 29, 1902 in New Bethlehem to Webster C. Hepler, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Clyde Hepler,of Timblin, Harold Hepler, Glenn Hepler and Donald Hepler, all of New Bedford; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Martha) Neal of Lowellville, Ohio, and Mrs. [?]; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Brocious of Timblin, Mrs. Clara Sherry of Hawthorn and Mrs. Myrtle Hepler of Clarion; 26 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. One daughter, Mrs. Mildred Brocious of Timblin, preceded her mother in death."
