Gray, 74, occurred Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Donald Sproul, on Stillwater avenue after a brief illness. A native of Deer Isle, Mr. Gray moved when a young man to Castine where he followed the sea for many years. He later moved to Brewer where for 20 years he was chief engineer of the E. H. Blake yacht, and afterward was employed as a mechanic on the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad for 20 years until his retirement about two years ago. After his retirement he bought a farm in Lagrange, where he had since made his home. He is survived by his wife, Grace L. Gray of Lagrange; four daughters, Mrs. Victor Vereault of Brewer, Mrs. James Griffiths of Bar Harbor, Mrs. Donald Sproul of Bangor and Miss Ethel Gray of Lagrange; a brother, Augustus Gray, and a sister, Mrs. Lottie Banks, both of Hartford, Conn,; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren."

Richard graduated from Hermon High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. He then graduated from Maine Vocational-Technical Institute as a machinist and worked for Portland Copper and later for Rich Tool and Die. Dick married Edith Cousins of South Portland in 1955. They began their married life in South Portland, and later moved to Gorham, where they raised their six children."

She grew up in Penobscot and attended Penobscot Elementary School. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, wife, aunt, and friend. Her family was the center of her world - her love for them knew no bounds. Jaime graduated from George Stevens Academy Class of 1998. After school, she married Jeremiah Emerton, they had three beautiful children together Jasmine (16), Madeline (14), and Jeremiah Jr. (8), all of Penobscot. Jaime was predeceased by her father Gustine 'Lee' Wardwell who passed away in 1989 and her beloved Aunt Karen of Chapin, S.C., who passed away in 2021. She is survived by her husband Jeremiah Emerton of Penobscot, their children Jasmine, Madeline and Jeremiah Jr., her mother Peggy Ordway and stepfather Curt Ordway of Penobscot, brothers Jonathan (Laura) Wardwell of Dedham and Joseph (Cecilia) Wardwell of Bucksport, stepsister Jamie Ordway of Blue Hill, nieces and nephews Victoria (Lucas) Hanscom of Whiting, Anthony Wardwell of Bucksport, Shane Meierdirk of North Carolina, Nicklaus and Autumn Wardwell of Dedham and Jayden Meierdirk of Blue Hill, great-nephews Remington, Brayden and Samuel Hanscom of Whiting and many aunts, uncles and cousins from away.'
