[6754] Obituary, "The Ellsworth American," 9 Oct 1997: "...died...at the Boston VA Medical Center after a long illness. ...lived in Aurora until the age of 7 when his family moved to Alaska. His stepfather's profession involved a good deal of moving around and Trent lived for periods in Arizona and California before returning to Maine as a teenager. He attended Higgins Classical Institute as well as a Virginia college where he studied art. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps and later spent time in the Central American countries of Nicaragua and Guatemala where he lived with his father. He was employed as a painting contractor and a local artisan. Fluent in Spanish, Trent helped Spanish-speaking people in Maine deal with officialdom and the court system. Trent was an avid student of history, particularly Spanish history. He enjoyed reading and was an accomplished watercolor artist. He also appreciated the outdoors and enjoyed building rock walls and raised beds. ...he is survived by his companion, Pamela Van Wie of Amherst; a daughter, Gwen Marbach of Pennsylvania...."
