The unverified Christy Deiter Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2016 offers: "When Donald Sylvester Steily was born on October 1, 1864, in Pennsylvania, his father, Nathan, was 24 and his mother, Catharine, was 19. He married Alice Henrietta Smith on September 26, 1885. They had 10 children in 24 years. He died on September 20, 1912, at the age of 47." Find A Grave Memorial 40332752 lists these children: Nathan Oliver Steely (1886 - 1973); Mamie Mabel Stiely Stutzman (1888 - 1958); Grace Susannah Stiely Rebuck (1890 - 1965); William Donald Steely (1892 - 1968); Frederick Sylvester Steely (1896 - 1968); Meta Ruth Stiely Morris (1900 - 1967); Laura Florence Steely Sitlinger (1903 - 1988); Carrie Blanche Stiely Shade (1905 - 1998).

[2381] "The duchy, bounded by the Rhine, the lake of Constance, the Leh and Franconia, was ruled by the counts of Raetia, one of whom, Burkhard, took the title of duke in 917 and was recognized as such by King Henry I, the Fowler, in 919. On his death in 926 he was succeeded by Hermann, a Franconian noble, who married his widow. When Hermann died in 948 Otto the Great gave the duchy to his own son Ludolf, who had married Hermann's daughter Ida; but he reduced the ducal privileges and appointed counts palatine to watch the royal interests. Ludolf revolted, and was deposed, and other dukes followed in quick succession. During these years the Swabians were loyal to the kings of the Saxon house." - Encyclopaedia Britannica, 1956, 21:628.
