[30943] See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_II_of_Pfalz-Simmern which reports "He succeeded his father in 1509. John II allowed printing to be established in Simmern and was a patron of sculpture. He introduced the Reformation into Simmern which lead to increased tensions with his neighbours, the Archbishoprics of Trier and Mainz."
[23095] Reference: http://www.thepeerage.com/p5440.htm which also reports "He married, secondly, Katherine Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst, daughter of Karl Albrecht Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst (of the House of Hohenlohe), in 1848. He died in 1853. He gained the title of Prinz von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. He gained the title of Fürst von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen on 17 October 1831." He is also known as Charles III as on the genealogical chart at http://www.friesian.com/deutsch.htm which shows his father to be Anthony Alois, Prince of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and provides his ancestry.
