He married Mary Agnes Quinn on December 25, 1888, in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. They had seven children in 20 years. He died on December 15, 1935, in Clarion, Pennsylvania, at the age of 74, and was buried in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.
